Craft fairs and bead shows

Newest news is I opened my online store on facebook. Look Me up its Box Colorful Kreations. Become a fan and you will get a discount on your first purchase from me.
The last couple of weekends here in colorado springs I sold my jewelry at local churches craft fairs. I had a blast. Here a a few pictures of my displays. I love what I use for displays because they don't cost an arm and leg and they set me apart from most other jewelry artists at places. Vases, baskets, ivy bowls, and the black one I was asked if it was a wine caddy. I bought it at the arc so not really sure. But my hubby and my mom helped me fashion the dowel part of it.

I love this one because the top part I can hang necklaces below if there are matching earrings I can them below the necklaces also its a good place to hang bracelets.

New ideas I always love these little animals lucky charms. I turned them into earrings.
Also my new addiction to the jewelry making is bead shows. I love going to them. I have been to a few in the last year. These stars are ceramic and I found them in septemer at the Denver Renissance Bead show. Along with the multicolor beads for the christmas trees below.

Also I am going to another bead show in a week in utah its my mommy vacation. It will be fun but I am a little nervous to leave mu children for four days. Once I get back I post more even if its jjust the bead finds I come home with.

the new tool i love it.

I bought a new tool to make my own components for jewelry it is amazing.
This tool you can make celtic knots, earring wires, and so much more. You have to use craft wire. There are lots of colors I have been going crazy, but when you make your own jewelry components and don't use gold or silver wire you have the need to make your own jump rings.

This is so simple to make your own jump rings. You use this mandrel and there two sizes. You wrap the craft wire around the part of the mandrel you want your jump ring size to be. Then you use flush cutters to cut the jump rings and then you flatten them.

Here is a beautiful necklace I made my sister-in-law Becky for her birthday this year.

I hand made the clasp as well with the wigjig.

Some great components to make using the wigjig. These would make great earrings just in themselves. But they go with a necklace, bracelet, earring set.

Here is the set all made. I gave it as gift to one of the ladies I visit teach at church for her birthday in February.

Been super busy getting ready for lots of things. I have been making jewelry like a made woman every chance I get. Naptimes is a wonderful thing.

New projects we make

A few new projects we were shown how to make or we figured out on our own how to do them. We really love this craft. I have given away some chain earrings. My crafting partner my mom has sold some beadcage earrings. We both have given away the beaded bookmarks.
Chain Earrings with bicones of various sizes
These are really simple to make also and very light to wear. I love what you can do with them use different beads as long as they fit in the chain. Beadcage Earrings with a variety of colors these particular ones are made with 4,6,8mm bicones.
Our local bead store we saw a worker in their wearing a pair of these and just fell in love. We asked them to show us how to make them. These now seem really simple. They can be made with different variety of beads as well.

We saw beaded bookmarks and hated the cost. This was really easy to figure out.

the start of my love for this hobby

I had wanted to learn how to make jewelry for a very long time. I just didn't know how to go about starting it. I was talking to my mom one day after I had become a stay at home wife and almost mother. She said find a place with a good price for a beginners class and we can take it together. It was feburary while I was pregnant with my daughter. I found a great class and signed us up. She and I have become very addicted to the art. It is a fabulous hobby. I want to see about making some money to pay for my hobby/addiction. I love seeing peoples faces when they recieve a handmade piece created by me.
This is the project I first learned how to create. Dark Red Potato shaped freshwater pearls and 4mm Garnet bicones crystals.

Jewelry making has so many different variety of techniques to learn how to do, but so much fun. I am learning how to do more and more techniques the more confident I get in my creative ability.
